Following the fires that have affected the Arcachon Bay in recent days, many of our vacationers—both current and prospective—are understandably asking questions. Firefighters have now brought the situation under control, and the area is gradually returning to normal. Whether you’re leaving soon for your vacation or considering a last-minute reservation, please know that our campground in Arcachon la Hume is operating as usual and looks forward to welcoming you. An Update on the Situation

Firefighters have now brought the fire under control, although monitoring operations are continuing in certain areas. Major roads, including the A63 highway, are reopened to traffic, as are the rail lines TER and TGV between Bordeaux and Arcachon. Many tourist attractions that had closed as a mere precaution have also reopened their doors, such as the Pilat Dune, a symbol of the Bassin region. The region is thus gradually returning to its normal rhythm, much to the delight of both residents and visitors.
