Recycling avoids waste
Reduce our environmental impact by giving a second life to our capsules and bags.If you're a coffee or tea lover, you know that each cup generates a specific type of waste: used capsules, tea bags... These items often end up in the garbage can, but why not give them a second life? Aware of the environmental impact of this waste, we at ATC Routes du Monde decided to take action. That's why we called on Recygo, our committed partner, to recycle our coffee capsules and tea bags, thus contributing to a more sustainable future.

A concrete approach with Recygo
Our partnership was born in January 2025!An initiative created by La Poste and Suez, which transforms office waste into new resources. Every 8 weeks, the Recygo team comes to collect the bins installed on our premises, where coffee capsules and tea bags are carefully deposited.
But what's even more exciting is that this initiative has federated far beyond our teams: we've invited the other companies and associations in our building to pass on their capsules to us. The result? An initial collection in January of 8 kg of capsules and sachets... And that's just for starters!
How does Recygo give a second life to our waste?
Because a coffee capsule or tea bag may seem trivial, it's important to understand just how much they can become through recycling!
Coffee grounds and tea residues are transformed into organic fertilizer, ideal for naturally enriching soils.
Aluminum capsules are recycled and reused, notably to make bicycle parts.
Plastic is crushed and then transformed into street furniture: public benches, bollards, etc.
A simple, everyday gesture, for a very real transformation!
Why recycle waste?
These little objects may seem insignificant, but their environmental impact is very real...In France, over 5 billion coffee capsules are consumed every year (source: ADEME 2023).Poorly sorted, this waste often ends up incinerated or landfilled, when it could become useful new resources. Recycling this waste makes it possible:
- To reduce CO₂ emissions
- To limit the waste of resources
- To give a second life to materials that are still usable.

Rethinking our waste is already taking action
Working together for a positive impact on our environmentEvery tea bag sorted is a small step for the environment. As a committed player, we are proud to participate in this eco-responsible approach and to bring our neighbors and partners on board with us. At ATC Routes du Monde, we are deeply committed to a global eco-responsible approach, aiming to reduce our ecological footprint at every stage of our activity, for a positive impact on the planet Together, let's change our habits for a more sustainable everyday life!
