Prague: The City of a Hundred Spires

Prague seduces with its outstanding medieval heritage and picturesque alleyways. The Old Town reveals the Gothic and Romanesque richness of the Czech capital, with the Old Town Square, the Astronomical Clock and the Charles Bridge offering a unique panorama of Prague Castle. The Josefov Jewish Quarter, among the best preserved in Europe, allows you to discover synagogues, cemetery and museums tracing the history of the Jewish community. South Moravia and Budapest

The tour continues in South Moravia, the cradle of traditional viticulture, with a visit to Mikulov and its Baroque castle, as well as a tasting of local wines at the UNESCO World Heritage-listed estates of Valtice and Lednice. Arrive in Budapest, the Hungarian capital, where the Pest district impresses with the neo-Gothic Parliament, St. Stephen's Basilica and Andrassy Avenue. Bratislava and Vienna

The tour continues to Bratislava, Slovakia's capital on the banks of the Danube. Its historic center offers a glimpse of the medieval past with St. Martin's Cathedral, the Primatial Palace and St. Michael's Gate. In Vienna, the historic center reveals imperial grandeur with the Hofburg, St. Stephen's Cathedral and the Graben, while the Château de Schönbrunn, the "Viennese Versailles", captivates with its imperial apartments and formal gardens.

Day 1

France - Prague

Departure for Prague.

On arrival, welcome and transfer to hotel.

Day 2

Prague - Stare Mesto & Jewish Quarter

Breakfast.

Visit the STARE MESTO district, Prague's Old Town, with its many Gothic and Romanesque buildings and medieval streets. The tour will take you along the Royal Way to the most popular spots in the Old Town. The route through the historic center, once used by Czech kings and queens to be crowned at St. Vitus' Cathedral in Prague Castle, begins on Republic Square (Námestí Republiky) near the Municipal House, the most magnificent example of Art Nouveau. Next to it stands the great Powder Tower, and via Celetná Street, which passes by the House of the Cubist Black Madonna (U Cerné Matky Boží), you'll reach Old Town Square, where you'll find the Old Town Hall, with its astronomical clock that has been keeping time since the 15th century. Your route continues along the Royal Way, taking in Malé námestí (Little Square) and Charles Street. Pass through Klementinum and on to Crusaders' Square (Križovnické námestí) with its Old Town Bridge Tower (Staromestská mostecká vež) and a stroll over the famous Charles Bridge. Take a photo break to admire panorama of Prague Castle, the world's largest castle complex.

Afternoon stroll through the JOSEFOV Jewish Quarter. Few European cities can boast such a well-preserved Jewish ghetto as Prague. Six synagogues, a town hall, a magical cemetery and the exceptional Genius loci are just some of the features that make Josefov a place you shouldn't miss when strolling through the Golden City. Then on to the romantic island of Kampa. Once on the Charles Bridge, you'll admire its famous gallery of Baroque statues while enjoying a breathtaking view of both banks of the Vltava. With its variety of Baroque facades, Malá Strana is reminiscent of the settings in your favorite fairy tales, and is also a residential district housing government and administrative offices, embassies and foreign diplomats.

Day 5

BUDAPEST: PEST & FREE QUARTER

Breakfast.

Guided tour of the PEST district, a lively shopping district. Discover the famous neo-Gothic Parliament building, inspired in part by the London Parliament, with its cathedral-like appearance, bell towers, pinnacles, spires, arcades and galleries. Its majestic river-facing façade stretches 268m along the banks of the Danube.
